An incentive trip for 25 award-winning Champs, recognising exceptional hard work and achievement as restaurant general managers. Four days in Istanbul,one of the world's great cities as a reward for the people who earned it.

Premier Events worked closely with KFC to deliver event management, delegate management and content services across the full trip, from initial research through to post-event wrap-up.

THE BRIEF

The Champions Club is KFC's way of recognising its very best restaurant general managers. The brief was to create an experience worthy of that recognition, a trip that felt genuinely special, personally considered, and flawlessly delivered.

Istanbul was selected following pre-event research and a site inspection conducted by the Premier Events team, who provided a full findings and recommendations report before planning began in earnest.

With 25 delegates travelling from two departure airports, a full itinerary of activities and dinners, and every detail needing to reflect the prestige of the occasion, the planning and on-site delivery demanded close coordination across every workstream.

Event Management

Premier Events managed the full operational delivery of the trip, liaising with the DMC throughout the planning process across the hotel, activities and restaurants, and coordinating directly with Turkish Airlines for flight bookings and check-in.
Welcome packages were created for every individual Champ to ease the airport process, with recognition notes handwritten for each delegate. Personalised notes were also handwritten to be distributed on the coach transfer back to the airport.
Passport, visa and travel insurance management ensured every Champ had the correct documentation in place. A KFC helpline was managed throughout via WhatsApp, with a general group chat and two separate travel group chats created to keep communication clear. The Premier team was on the ground for the duration to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Delegate Management

The Premier Events team acted as the single point of contact for all delegates throughout the planning process, managing the dedicated KFC events inbox and handling all delegate correspondence from initial joining instructions through to pre-departure communications.
Dietary requirements and any special requirements were logged and managed centrally, with the information fed through to the DMC, hotel and restaurant partners as required.
Joining instructions were created for all attendees and the leadership team, giving everyone the information they needed in a clear and accessible format well ahead of departure.

Content Services

The Premier Events team handled all content and creative production for the trip, producing both printed and digital artwork across welcome notes, goodbye notes, recognition notes, backpack notes, menu cards, name cards, name badges and an Instagram frame.
A photographer from the Premier team was on-site throughout the trip, with fully edited photographs and a highlight video produced and delivered post-event.Every piece of content was designed to reflect the quality and personal touch that the Champions Club experience deserved from the first welcome note to the final highlight reel.

The Itinerary

The trip ran across four days, with guests travelling from Manchester and London Heathrow on Monday 22nd September, arriving in Istanbul for welcome drinks and dinner.

Tuesday brought an Istanbul Race activity, lunch, free time and an evening dinner at 360 Restaurant. Wednesday featured a Mosaic Lamp Making Workshop, an optional Basilica Cistern Underground Cave Tour, and an evening Cocktail Cruise drinks reception on the Grey Boat followed by dinner at Ali Ocakbasi at Oligark.

Guests flew home on Thursday 25th September, returning to Manchester and London Heathrow with personalised notes waiting for them on the coach transfer to the airport.

The Result

The feedback from Champs spoke for itself. When asked to rate their pre-event communication, 86% selected very good. When asked to rate Champions Club 2025 overall, the group returned a score of 9.71 out of 10.

Champs described the attention to detail from the events team as outstanding, the organisation as seamless from communication through to execution, and the experience itself as the holiday of a lifetime.
