The Brief
Client: Adecco Group
Venue: Keele
Date: 4-5 March 2026
Service Provided: Live Stream support for a virtual event.
Earlier this month we were on site at Adecco's Keele office to deliver full broadcast AV support for a live company-wide event, streamed to an audience of 3,500 delegates. The brief was to transform a working office space into a professional broadcast environment, complete with a custom set, multi-camera production and seamless streaming, then return the space to normal the same day.
It is the kind of project that demands precision. There is no backstage, no loading dock, no built-in infrastructure. Just a corporate office that needs to look and sound like a broadcast studio for a few hours, without ever losing the energy of a real, lived-in workspace.
The Set
The visual centrepiece was a fully printed 6m x 2.4m backdrop, designed to create a strong branded environment for the broadcast. Alongside the main set wall, we produced and installed several new custom lightboxes that framed the space and added depth to the shot. The overall look needed to feel polished on camera while sitting naturally in the room, and the combination of large format print and illuminated signage gave the set presence without overwhelming the office setting.
Bar-height stools were arranged across the front of the backdrop to create two distinct presenter positions, keeping the format conversational and relaxed while ensuring clean camera angles throughout.
Production
A three-camera setup covered both presenter positions, giving the vision mixer flexibility to cut between wide shots, singles and reactions throughout the live programme. A BirdDog PTZ camera provided an additional angle, adding variety without extra crew footprint in the room.
The full production gallery sat just off to the side of the set, with a vMix PPU at its core handling the live mix, graphics and stream output. A presenter monitor allowed those on camera to follow pre-recorded video playback in real time, so transitions back to live felt natural rather than awkward.
Lighting and Audio
Twelve LED soft panels provided even, tuneable front light across both presenter positions, ensuring everyone on camera looked their best regardless of the office's existing overhead lighting. The rig was kept compact and ceiling-mounted where possible to avoid cluttering the floor space.
On the audio side, eight channels of Sennheiser digital wireless covered all presenters with lavalier mics, with handheld options available for any Q&A segments. A Yamaha QL1 mixing desk managed the audio feed, while a pair of L-Acoustics X8 speakers on stands provided in-room foldback so presenters could hear video playback and any remote contributions clearly.
Content and Streaming
Beyond the live production, we managed all pre-recorded content, handling edits and playback integration so that videos dropped seamlessly into the programme. Slido was used for audience interaction, with monitoring in place to keep presenters connected to the remote audience in real time.
The stream itself was delivered via Microsoft Teams to the full delegate audience, backed by a dedicated 4G router to ensure connectivity was independent of the office network.
The Team
Installation began the day before, with the full set build, technical fit-up, checks and rehearsals completed ahead of the 2pm live window on day two. Derig was wrapped by late afternoon, leaving the office exactly as we found it.
