Designing motion graphics for high-profile award shows requires a blend of creativity, technical precision, and a deep understanding of the event’s tone. In 2023, PYTCH delivered show design and motion graphics for both the TRIC Awards and the Procurement Leaders Awards, creating immersive experiences that elevated the production and left lasting impressions.

Why It Matters?

Delivered motion graphics and show design for two major award shows
Created immersive environments using mapped content and custom visuals
Integrated branding across stage, content, and lighting
Supported rapid content turnaround for live and broadcast delivery

Show Design and Motion Graphics for Award Shows

Design That Connects

For the TRIC Awards, PYTCH was tasked with creating a premium experience for a star-studded guest list. The event was filmed for national broadcast, requiring a polished and elegant visual approach. Our team designed the opening VT, managed presentation content, and provided on-site camera crews and editors for same-day turnaround.

In contrast, the Procurement Leaders Awards demanded high energy and bold visuals. PYTCH created a wraparound video wall, off-axis thrust stage, and a central LED diamond set piece. The immersive environment was supported by a custom ceiling installation and interactive zones, all tied together with dynamic motion graphics.

Both events required a holistic design approach, where lighting, video, and sound worked in harmony to support the narrative and brand identity of the show.

Content That Performs

Motion graphics were central to both productions. Our internal content team handled everything from concept development and storyboarding to asset design and animation. Using tools like After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Blender, we created layered visuals that enhanced the storytelling and added depth to the show.

For the Procurement Leaders Awards, we mapped video content to the stage design using MadMapper, allowing us to synchronise visuals across multiple surfaces. This technique helped extend the impact of the opening sequence and created a unified visual experience.

Rapid turnaround was essential. Our editors worked on-site to deliver highlight reels and social-ready content within hours of the event, ensuring maximum post-show engagement.

Process That Delivers

Producing motion graphics for award shows involves a detailed workflow. We begin with a thorough brief, followed by concept development and storyboarding. Once approved, our team designs assets, animates sequences, and integrates sound design.

We use QLab to structure playback and ensure synchronisation across screens, lighting, and audio. Our technical team works closely with the creative department to pre-program content and test it in visualisation software before arriving on site.

Throughout the process, we maintain close communication with the client, providing drafts, updates, and revisions to ensure the final product aligns with their vision and event goals.
