White Starlit dance floor, LOVE letters and led poseur tables for a Wedding Reception in Stranraer

We were booked directly by the bride and groom for this wedding reception that took place at the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer, Scotland.

The hotel has an ice rink located on site and this was to be the venue for the evening wedding reception for all 400 of the guests.

Due to the weight of the equipment booked it was more cost effective for the client if we transported the dancefloor, LED poseur tables and LOVE letters in our 26T truck. This involved leaving our Leicester premises at midday on the Friday.

After a night in the hotel for our event crew and a hearty Scottish breakfast we set about installing the 40ft x 20ft white starlit dance floor, illuminated LOVE letters and four of our LED poseur tables.

The venue had previously melted the ice away to leave behind a flat white concrete floor for us to work on. It still had the markings for the ‘curling’ however which was the only sign that it is usually used as an ice rink.

The client had sent us a floor plan in advance and so our event crew knew where to position the white starlight dancefloor.

The client was delighted with all of the elements that Premier provided and the dancefloor itself was well used throughout the evening.

Our illuminated poseur tables were positioned next to the dancefloor to try and prevent guests from taking their drinks onto the floor and creating a trip hazard.

Our 5ft tall illuminated LOVE letters were positioned next to the dance floor with the aim that they would create an ideal backdrop for the photographers photos of the first dance.
