Back in September 2017, the wonderful Alison (Mother of the bride) came in to see our Senior Weddings Coordinator Libbie with regards to her daughter’s wedding which was taking place at the stunning Stapleford Park.
We like to consider ourselves Stapleford Park experts when it comes to weddings and events there. From the moment Alison walked into our offices, we knew straight the way that this wedding was going to be amazing. Themed ‘secret garden’ it was simple, yet incredibly elegant and flawless to say the least.
Laura (the bride) had a very clear idea of what she wanted and had fully informed Alison on her vision for the ceremony and Alison told all in our very first meeting. We used our timeless Chiavari chairs with an on trend grey chiffon drop (which matched the bridesmaid dresses perfectly) tied with a small piece of eucalyptus. With a huge wedding party of 133 in the Orangery, the chairs alone completed the ceremony look that Laura had envisioned. We added the Orangery essentials of a brand-new white aisle runner and ivory drapes around the aisle pillars. Collectively the Orangery was transformed into a secret garden paradise, making the perfect setting for Laura and Justin to say their vows.
After the ceremony, we organised for the chairs to be moved in the Grand Hall, and for pallet furniture and grey clothed poseur tables to be moved into the Orangery. We put some poseur tables outside as the weather was beautiful it meant we could extend the secret garden right out onto Stapleford grounds. We placed a pallet bar in the Orangery and this added to the secret garden theme and provided a drinks reception fit for a princess.
The wedding breakfast was held in the Grand Hall where Laura and Justin had organised for the entire hall to be draped, including the ceiling. The day before the wedding, we installed a stage, event lighting to compliment the band, band PA and a small PA for the speeches.
Laura, Justin and Alison also booked On The Day Coordination. We provide this service to our brides and grooms because it’s a really simple way of taking away all the stresses that come along with planning the wedding. On the Day Coordination means you as bride and groom put all things into place. You come up with your own ideas, book your own suppliers and make all the decisions without any guidance from a wedding planner. However, come the big day the wedding planner has taken all the information from your planning and come up with a strategy which will ensure everything flows perfectly on the day. We meet and greet suppliers, brief them onsite and act as a safeguard on the big day so that you don’t have to.
Libbie, our senior weddings coordinator spoke with all the suppliers 6 weeks prior to Laura and Justin’s wedding and organised there onsite times, parking and general scheduling for the day. Within the On the Day Coordination package that Premier offers, it includes a free consultation, a site visit and a handover. The day before the wedding we sat down with Stapleford Park and made sure we were all on the same page, and that everyone was on the same page. The was also a really good time to catch up with the bride and how she was feeling about the day. We try and cure any anxieties she may be having about the day and ensure our client that we have everything in hand.
All in all, Laura and Justin’s day was a bug success. Everything went to plan with no obstacles and even the weather held out just in time before the heavens opened!
