Winter wonderland wedding at the village hotel coventry

We were booked by the bride and groom for this wedding which took place at the Village Hotel in Coventry.

The bride tasked us with transforming this hotel function room into a winter wonderland inspired wedding venue.

The function room was to be the home of the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and wedding reception. We used lighting in the room to differentiate between each layout.

For the wedding ceremony we provided full venue draping using our white pleated drape. The white drape was erected using our free standing and telescopic pipe and base system.

To add some colour to the ceremony we uplit the white pleated drape using our 1m LED battens set to an ice blue colour. These were positioned approximelty 3m apart to provide a good overall coverage.

As this was a winter wonderland themed wedding then we also supplied our snowflake image projection service. By placing profile lights at the back of the venue we were able to project snowflake images onto the walls of the venue which really helped to set the scene.

As a finishing touch we supplied and installed a 16m x 1m white carpet aisle runner for the bride to walk down the aisle on.

During the room turnaround after the wedding ceremony the hotel opened up the dividing wall to create a larger room. We repositioned the white pleated drape on the right hand wall to open the room up also.

An L-Acoustic PA system consisting of 4x 5XT speakers was installed to provide background music for the wedding breakfast. A Sennheiser EW300 G3 hand held radio microphone was also supplied for use during the speeches.

For the evening reception we changed the colour of the uplighting to a purple colour which was selected by the bride and groom in advance.

Our event crew installed a 16ft x 16ft black starlit dance floor as well as our 5ft high illuminated LOVE letters which were placed in the space which had been occupied by the top table.

One of our professional wedding DJs set up his equipment to the left of the dance floor and played a mixture of client and guest requests throughout the evening as well as a selection of songs, which he knew, would fill the dance floor.
