LED Uplighting Comparison

LED Uplighting is a service that we have been providing at Premier Weddings since 2008, we like to think that we are experts in this area.

Premier were one of the first wedding dressing companies in the midlands to take LED battens and LED par cans, and to use those in a wedding environment to wash the walls with colour.

Since we began offering this service to bride and grooms getting married in Leicestershire and throughout the UK, LED technology has advanced substantially.

When we began to provide LED Uplighting or mood lighting as it is sometimes referred to, each light came with red, green and blue LED’s, which we could mix together to create your preferred colour or colours. Whilst we had 255 shades of red, green and blue (RGB) to choose from we were unable to create a pure white or make stunning warm colours such as yellows and gold’s.

The new generation of LED uplighters are much more advanced, we have invested heavily in this new technology so that our clients can have the choice of receiving a wider range of colours for their wedding venue.

After much research we have invested in the Elation SixBar 1000 LED battens as our premium LED uplighter of choice. These units are supplied with 12 super bright LED’s which can produce Red, Green, Blue, Amber, White and UV colours allowing us to be able to provide a much wider range of colours for our clients weddings.

As you can see in the photo above the new technology in the Elation SixBars allows us to create pure white colours without the need to mix LED’s together which can cause it to look almost pink at the bottom of the venue’s wall.

If you are looking at having LED uplighting for your wedding we would highly recommend the Elation SixBar 1000 as the unit of choice due to its brighter and more vivid colours as well as its ability to be seen even in the day in venues with lots of natural light.
