For the Childcare East Midlands 2015 awards evening Premier were tasked with transforming the Park Inn, Nottingham.
Having worked with the team previously, we knew that they liked to party. Our event project assistants worked closely with them at quotation stage to ensure that we were proposing to deliver, would guarantee a great party environment.
For the entertainment itself we provided one of the 4 DJs that work for Premier almost exclusively. We actually started life as a DJ company and so we only supply the finest DJs to our clients. Our DJs are all smart and professional in their appearance but most importantly have a mixture of nightclub, bar, wedding and corporate experience and so you can be sure that whatever the crowd they will get them up on their feet.
An L-Acoustics PA system comprising of 2x SB18 subwoofers and 2x 12XT speakers was used on the evening by both the DJ and for the awards presentation.
We installed a 12ft x 12ft black dance floor for the guests to dance the night away on after the awards had been presented.
For the lighting we provided a ‘night club’ styled lighting set up which included four of our Elation Platinum Spot 5R Moving heads. These were mounted on 2m tall truss podiums, toned using an LED par can and covered with a white lycra sock to complete the look.
Additional lighting in the venue was courtesy of the super bright Elation SixBar 1000 LED battens. These fixtures are typically used to uplight set at conferences, or as eye candy at the back of a stage but work just as well uplighting the walls of a venue, on this occasion in yellow to suit the colour scheme of the event.
Our 40cm LED spheres were used as the table centres for the awards evening. The LED spheres are exceptionally versatile, with 16 colours to choose from they can adapt to most colour schemes and can be changed at the touch of a button.

Although I enquired last minute the team were able to source everything I needed to make the event a success.
I would not hesitate to recommend Premier UK Events and am already planning next year’s event to ensure I can secure all the equipment from the company.
