Star Trust at Lumbers

Premier are proud supporters of the Star Trust and assisted them with the AV for this event at Lumbers in Leicester

We were approached by the Star Trust charity and asked to provide AV support for their upcoming ‘Happy Diamonds’ event. The Star Trust is an East Midlands based charity, run by local business owners and entrepreneurs, which supports good causes across the region.

The Happy Diamonds event bought together 75 guests with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the charities that the Star Trust was supporting on the night. The event itself took place at Lumbers, on High Street in Leicester.

The AV brief was for Premier to provide a high quality audio and visual system for the event, to include a PA system, Stage and Video equipment.

To ensure that the entertainment on the night could be clearly seen we provided a 2m x 2m stage. The stage was carpeted in black as well as having a black cotton material secured to the side of the stage to hide the legs from view.

Audio requirements were met using an L-Acoustics PA system comprising of an LA8 amplifier powering 4x L-Acoustics 8XT speakers which were mounted on round base stands. A Yamaha LS9-16 digital desk was installed to handle all audio inputs including 2x wireless microphones, CD/USB player and laptop feeds for video playback. As our clients expect, all cables were neatly secured to the stands to ensure a professional finish.

All video content was displayed on 2x Panasonic 65” LCD Displays which were mounted onto discreet Parabella stands. Video content included an animated slideshow which our in house designer created to highlight the various charities that the Star Trust have supported to date. Also shown was a video of a previous event and the auction prizes available for guests to bid on. Our engineer was able to seamlessly switch between the 3 laptops on site using a seamless switcher / scaler.

The event was a huge success with over £55,000 raised for the 3 chosen charities. We look forward to working with the Star Trust on their future events and helping to raise even more money for the charity.
