Star Trust Ball 2017

Premier provided AV and event management support for the Star Trust ball

Premier were delighted to support the Star Trust with their annual ball held at Stapleford Park in Leicestershire.

The Star Trust raises money for local charities at a handful of exclusive events each year.

Our team supplied full AV production for the event once again in 2017. The event raised £114,000 which is a tremendous achievement. Our production team were involved with both the planning and implementation of the event.

As guests arrived at the venue they were entertained by a female vocalist. We supplied an L-Acoustics PA system comprising of 8XT speakers, powered by an LA8 amplifier. A wireless hand held microphone allowed her to roam around the venue and interact with guests.

The dinner took place in the Grand Hall at Stapleford. As guests made their way through the Orangery and into the Grand Hall, they walked past a 98” 4K screen which displayed the table plan. The beauty of a digital table plan vs print is that it can be changed on the day of the event to reflect any changes to the guest list.

The focal point of the Grand Hall was the centrally located stage and set. The stage was used by the MC on the night as well as the band. With branding applied to the leathergrain set we were able to ensure that the Star Trust logo was clear to see. Additional branding was incorporated into the lighting with image projection also being deployed on the night.

To ensure that guests could watch the video content, which included videos, PowerPoint content and a live auction feed we installed 4x 65” screens in the Grand Hall. A seamless switcher was used to ensure a smooth transition between input sources.

Lighting was a mixture of LED uplighting for the perimeter walls using the Elation Sixbars, wash moving heads for an ambient room wash, table pin spotting and spot moving heads for use when the band were performing. All lighting was controlled with an Avolites Quartz.

An L-Acoustics PA system was installed, this included a mixture of 12XT, 8XT and SB18 speakers as well as LA8 amplifiers. Our team provided both the front of house pa system as well as all microphones and monitors for the band. Our sound engineer used a Yamaha digital desk for control.

Sparkulars were used throughout the event, these provided additional atmospheric effect when key fundraising targets were met and during the bands performance.

As well as the AV, our team also provided the table linen and chair covers, black starlit dance floor as well as pallet furniture for the Orangery.

Our event management team were on hand during the event to manage the suppliers and ensure that everything ran smoothly on the night.
