Premier worked with Rugby School to turn the school hall into an event space for a conference

We were approached by Rugby School to provide a conference style production for a breakfast networking meeting for some of the leading business leaders in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The task was quite simply to transform this former school hall into a fully functional conference venue!

The venue already had a stage in place but it was too deep for our purposes and so we used 10ft x 4ft set panels to partition the stage area, these were felted in white and uplit in purple, which was the colour scheme for the event.

Sound was covered with 2x L-Acoustics 12XT speakers by the stage as well as 2x 5XT speakers acting as delays. This was all run via iPad on the Yamaha LS9 digital desk. A handheld Sennheiser EW300 G3 microphone was utilised for the question and answer section of the meeting, as was a lectern microphone for the speakers.

An 8ft x 6ft screen was used to display the clients presentation as well as 2x 50” LCD screens which we installed further down the room mounted on 3m Prolyte H30V truss podiums.

The podiums allowed us to cut down the amount of stands required in the venue, they accommodated the screens, 5XT delay speakers and the profile lighting for the stage.

To complete the room we installed 12 of our battery powered LED uplighters around the perimeter of the venue, these were also set to a purple colour.

The event was a huge success and both the school and the client were delighted. We look forward to working with Rugby School on many of their future projects.
