Episode 5 Highlights: What We Covered

1. The Team is Back After a Busy Event Week

With major events in Manchester and London wrapping up, the team took some much-needed time off, and now everyone is back in the office. The focus this week? Winning new work.

2. Ben Steps in as a Production Manager

With all Premier production managers out on-site last week, Ben had to step in and manage a breakout event for sponsors. The good news? It ran smoothly, with no last-minute issues.

3. Recruitment Updates – Growing the Team

Premier is actively hiring and has already announced a new event manager joining the team. Recruitment is ongoing for:

  • Wood Shop Manager
  • Exhibition Project Manager
  • Bench Joiner

4. Company-Wide Updates – Keeping Everyone in the Loop

Premier started recording monthly internal video updates to keep the entire team informed about key developments.

5. Expanding Operations – More Equipment Needed

With demand increasing, Premier is investing in new microphones, DPA headsets, and other essential AV gear. The PYTCH auction (equipment from a company acquired last year) is also being reviewed to see if any stock complements Premier’s inventory.

6. Office Expansion – Making Room for Growth

The team is exploring potential renovations to accommodate Premier’s growing workforce. The current space is pushing capacity, with some desks being shared and communal areas feeling cramped.

Possible changes:

✔ Knocking down walls for an open-plan layout
✔ Expanding the staff room to fit more people
✔ Upgrading meeting spaces and facilities

7. New Business Processes – Saving Time and Effort

Ben introduced Trainline for Business, allowing employees to book travel with a centralised payment system—eliminating the need for expense claims. Next up? Amazon for Business to streamline purchases and invoicing.

8. The Viral LinkedIn Post – Ben’s New Meeting Reminder App

Ben tested a new app called ‘In Your Face’, which helps him stay on top of Teams calls by displaying reminders on-screen. He shared his experience on LinkedIn, and the post gained over 7,000 organic views.

9. The Premier Weekly Podcast is Now on the Website!
