What’s Happening This Week?

After a strong launch with Episode 1, Ben kicks off Episode 2 by reflecting on the growing engagement with the podcast and updates us on everything that’s been happening at Premier Events. From meeting key clients to rolling out AI-powered accounting systems, it’s been another productive week.

Episode 2 Highlights: What We Covered

1. Connecting With Long-Term Clients

Ben started the week by welcoming long-time clients to the office to showcase Premier’s growth and discuss new opportunities. This was the first time they had visited in several years, so it was a great chance to demonstrate how Premier has evolved.

2. Charity Work with Warning Zone

Ben visited a local charity, Warning Zone, which runs interactive learning spaces to educate children about safety. The charity needed AV support for upcoming events, including a comedy night and murder mystery event. Initially, Premier offered a 50% discount, but after seeing the great work they do, the team decided to provide the service for free.

3. AI-Powered Improvements – Dext Integration

Wednesday was all about AI as Premier rolled out Dext, an AI-powered accounting tool that automatically extracts and inputs invoice details. Initial feedback from the team was positive, though Ben had to troubleshoot some minor issues related to email forwarding and ISO compliance.

4. LinkedIn Retargeting Strategy

Premier currently spends £2.5k per month on LinkedIn ads, generating around £30k in confirmed orders and another £30-40k in outstanding quotes. To build on this success, Ben is diving into retargeting strategies, which will allow Premier to show ads to users who have previously engaged with their content.

5. Judging the Conference News 30 Under 30 Awards

As a judge for this year’s Conference News 30 Under 30 Awards, Ben has been reviewing applications and is amazed by the talent and innovation shown by young professionals in the events industry.
