Q4 is always our busiest part of the year and so we have spent the last few months stocking up on new equipment in anticipation of what’s to come.
As always at Premier, investment has been spread over a number of areas of the business. We aim to be a ‘one stop shop’ for our clients and so it’s important that we are able to supply the latest AV, entertainment and décor items to our clients.
We would typically send our customers an email so that they are aware of what’s going on here at Premier, but with the introduction of GDPR this year we have decided that it’s easier to simply update the Journal page of the website…
So what’s new?
Our latest purchase, the photo mosaic wall has proven to be extremely popular with both our corporate and private clients. The software allows us to create a mosaic live at an event using images that we collate on the night using either the Magic Selfie Mirror or iPads.
The mosaic wall is a fantastic product, we are one of only a handful of companies in the UK to offer it. We have designed our very own mosaic display solution that can be branded for each client’s events.
Earlier on in the year we invested heavily in the modular T3 system. Used for a variety of purposes including, exhibition stands, point of sale, baffle walls and the photo mosaic wall. The T3 system has been used on a number of our clients events already with lots more in the pipeline.
Mercedes Sprinter
We love our Maxi Low vans but we needed a fourth van to help us deliver events on busy weekends and the crew wanted a Sprinter and so we now own one. Fully branded, it certainly stands out.
We upgraded all of our L-Acoustic 8XT to the X8 this year. With an improved design and increased SPL these boxes have been used most weeks since they were delivered. Typically used in corporate environments, these speakers can be mounted on aesthetically pleasing round base stands.
We love the Cross Back Chairs, as do our wedding clients who have been hiring them for their weddings over the summer months. The chairs can be supplied both with and without the seat pad depending on the look that you are trying to create.
We added a third Avolites Quartz to our hire stock. These lighting desks are perfect for the events that we work on, especially when used with the external 27” touch screen which allows four lighting designers to be more creative.
The Yamaha QL1 and QL5 that we invested in at the back end of 2017 have proven to be exceptionally popular with our clients. To keep up with demand we have added a second QL1 to our stock this month.
We purchased our original magic selfie mirror back in 2016 and its been so popular that we have added a second to our hire stock this month. Many of our mosaic wall bookings require two magic mirrors and so it was a no brainer to add a second to our hire stock.
We had a number of clients recently that required us to be able to provide a live video feed of the action on stage. Our hot head cameras are great, but to compliment them we invested in a Sony PMW350K which provides a great video feed, especially in low light environments.
Both our Event Management and Event Production teams require radios on site to easily communicate with each other and so we invested in 12 Motorola DP4800e hand held radios. These radios are packed full of useful features and exceptionally useful to have on site.
The mirror ball is still such a fantastic effect, it’s a classic. Our new 1m in diameter mirror ball when lit using Elation 5R beams looks amazing, especially in venues where we can use haze!
We added 8 beams to stock last year, they have been requested on multiple events by our clients due to their brightness and so we have added another 4 to stock this week.
Most events require a screen and so we have added an additional 10’ x 8’ 6” and a pair of 14’ x 7’ 10” Stumpfl screens to stock this month.
