In December, we supported a long-standing client with project management and AV support for their annual Christmas party hosted at their head office in the Midlands. This event has evolved over the last decade and continues to grow in size and complexity year after year.
The brief was to transform the ground floor of the office into a Moulin Rouge meets Greatest Showman themed venue. Our event management team worked closely with the client to source several props that complimented the theme, including a Chaise Lingue, silhouette panels and a rearing circus horse!
An 18m x 9 marquee was installed outside to provide extra space for guests to use, and multiple food stalls were also positioned outside to ensure that everybody was well-fed. The team also organised external toilets and generators.
Venue styling included 150m of black starlcoth to transform the office walls; this was paired with crushed velvet drops to enhance the look and feel. Ceiling draping was installed overhead to lower the ceiling height in the auditorium and make it feel more intimate.
Our AV team installed over 70 lighting fixtures around the venue to ensure that the venue was well-lit and on brand. They also created a VIP entrance using a red carpet, chrome posts and red ropes.
Over 650 individual items were scanned out of the warehouse to make the event happen. The equipment we delivered to the site weighed over 4 Tonnes and was installed and de-rigged by a team of 7 people.
Feedback from the client was great and we hope to be asked back to deliver the event again in 2024.
