Brief
As a part of International Confex 2020, we were approached by the design and marketing team at GES to provide our Photo Mosaic Wall activation as part of their VIP Bar stand. Not only was the mosaic wall to be used as an amazing visual and engagement product, the photo mosaic wall was to play a huge part in the prize that GES were giving away on the second day of the show.
Pre-Production
Working closely with the team at GES, we created a tailor-made mosaic wall design and bespoke artwork and workflow for our selfie iPad Mirrors and Magic Selfie Mirror which was all in keeping with the stand and event.
THE ACTIVATION
Arriving on Monday, we pre-built all the components of the mosaic wall structure as well as setting up all the software and systems needed.
The size and design of the Magic Selfie Mirror meant that it was a welcome addition in the main bar area and could not be missed. Our selfie iPad mirrors are a handheld solution meaning that we could roam the stand and interact with attendees with ease.
Over the first day, we captured over half of the photos we needed, but the best part of the activation was still to come.
A bespoke event hashtag was being used during the event. The event hashtag and photo mosaic wall were going to play a big part in someone winning a prize on the second day.
After an announcement on Twitter, the competition went live. Attendees were challenged to find a GES bear which had been hidden amongst the stands at the event. The first person to find the bear, take a photo using the event hashtag won a hotel stay.
Premier’s Ashley Sewell from our Event tech and engagement team lead the activation over the two days and worked seamlessly with the wider GES team onsite.
GES were thrilled with the result, with the completed mosaic wall and it is now proudly displayed in one of their UK offices.
