Brief
We were approached by a father of the bride who required our assistance with his speech. The wedding was to take place in a marquee at Slaughters Manor House, in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Our client had prepared a video which was to be played to the assembled guests as he read his speech.
Process
Once we had been given the brief, our technical team sat and created an itemised quotation which we were able to email to the client, along with a summary email which outlined what we would be providing on the day.
The quotation included both screens for the video to be shown on as well as a PA system for the speeches themselves.
Due to the short lead time for this wedding, and the fact that we had none of our event team available to deliver this event, our Managing Director Ben and Event Director Claire delivered, installed and collected the equipment to our client on the day.
Equipment Used
For the video element we installed a pair of Panasonic 65” HD screens on aesthetically pleasing Unicol Parabella stands. The video was imported into a dedicated 15” apple MacBook Pro machine and ran using the extremely reliable Playback Pro software. HDMI cable was chosen to send the signal to the screens, along with a Krammer HDMI splitter ensuring that both screens showed the same content.
For the audio element of the wedding we installed 2x L-acoustics X8 speakers on round base stands. These compact speakers are exceptionally versatile and fantastic to use for this type of application. Powered by an L-Acoustics LA4X amplifier they provide crisp and clear audio content.
A Sennhesiser EW300 G3 microphone was provided for use by all of the members of the wedding party that had a speech to deliver. We also provided a Soundcraft EPM 12 mixing desk which allowed the videographer to receive an audio feed of the speeches for use in his wedding video for the bride and groom.
