AV production for a corporate Christmas party at the Midland Hotel in Manchester

We were been booked by the same corporate client for their Christmas parties for 2 consecutive years at the Midland Hotel in the centre of Manchester.

The first event was such a success that the client booked the same equipment for both parties, the only difference being the colour used with the LED Uplighters.

LED Uplighting is a perfect addition to the function room at the Midland Hotel, it allows us to wash the walls of the venue in a colour or colours of their choice. For these parties we used a red and green wash for the first party and for the second we uplit the walls in a blue light.

To provide a stunning backdrop to the live band and one of our corporate DJ’s we used a large black wool surge starcloth which covered the back of the stage. This was set to a slow twinkle and simply kept going all night. We erect our starcloths using a pipe and base system which is free standing and so can be used anywhere in the venue.

For the dance floor we used a black and white striped dance floor as requested by the client, this ran parallel with the stage and 16ft in depth. The starlit dance floor was set to a slow twinkle throughout the event and was danced on from the first song after dinner all the way through to 1am.
