We were asked by Stones Events to provide AV production for the launch of the new Ferrari showroom in Colchester.
The event was to be attended by Ferrari customers, press and VIP’s. Our brief was to add some additional colour to the showroom as well as providing audio and video support for the presentation element of the evening.
Outside the showroom we installed 6 of our LED floods which washed the external walls in a vibrant red colour. To add an additional wow factor to the entrance we provided 2 of the super bright Studio Due 3000 space flower search lights. These lights can be seen up to 3km away and the beams of light refracted off the rain on the night to provide a great lightshow.
As guests arrived at the showroom they walked up a 13m x 1m red carpet, which we flanked with our chrome posts, and red ropes to complete the VIP look.
Inside the venue the red lighting theme was continued. We installed 12 of our chrome finished battery powered uplighters, which were placed around the venue and worked especially well on the pillars inside the showroom. Wired 1m LED battens were used for the perimeter walls, which were also set to red – the Ferrari colour.
A small 3m x 2m stage was installed; this was carpeted in black and had black casement material covering the sides to complete the look.
Audio was covered with an L-Acoustic LA8 amplifier powering 2x 12XT speakers with 2x SB18 subwoofers for low end reinforcement. A trilite lectern with lectern microphone was provided for the speeches as well as two Sennheiser EW300 G3 radio mics. All of the audio was ran through our Yamaha LS9 digital desk.
The showroom had a projector and screen already installed and so for the video element of the night we provided show laptops and a seamless switcher / scaler to ensure that the video content could switch between video and powerpoint seamlessly.
