For the third year running we were approached by Hope Against Cancer to help put on their annual fashion show.
Hope Against Cancer is a great charity that we have had the pleasure of working more closely with this year. Michael and Craig were invited along to their quarterly volunteer review. They learned about the work they have done in the past few years and where future donations will be going. They also heard from two of the charity’s leading scientists about the research they are currently involved with. Learning about the work in this way really put all of the work and donations made by the Hope Against Cancer team and their supporters into perspective. It’s amazing what a small team of people have achieved for cancer research.
Back in July, Ben and Craig went along to Bentley Leicester for an initial meeting and site visit with Corinne and Barbara from Hope Against Cancer. We proposed stage and lighting options as well as agreeing to bring along our Magic Selfie Mirror for the guests to use.
In the build up to the event Craig worked with Corinne and her team on creating the promotional material, show content and Magic Mirror print out design as well as a promotional poster for their upcoming Christmas parties.
The evening began as somewhat of a market place with guests browsing the many stalls dotted around the Bentley garage. From fashion to jewellery, Spa Treatments and our fabulous Magic Mirror, there was no shortage of things to keep guests busy until the beginning of the show. The Make-Up Team and Malcolm Murphy hair set up shop in the Lamborghini section of the garage creating a hub of models and stylists. Canapés and glasses of Prosecco also floated around the venue.
The show was in two halves, the first began with a cheque presentation from Rebekah Vardy and ended with an Alexander McQueen inspired show by Malcolm Murphy Hair. The second half of the show much like the first included fashion houses such as Melton Menswear, Abiti, Flo and Sang, John Lewis and Christopher Scotney Menswear. The second half of the show ended with Divine Womenswear and a special appearance from the current Miss Leicestershire. The night was concluded with a raffle all in aid of this brilliant charity.
