In September 2015, we were approached by TV presenter Anne Davies and asked to assist in creating a spectacular Fashion Gala at the prestigious Belvoir Castle. We were to provide AV equipment to really add to the look and feel of the event.
Our Managing Director, Ben, was the point of the contact from start to finish from taking the initial enquiry right the way through to coordinating the event on the evening. He met the lovely Anne Davies on site to discuss her requirements and they worked together to make decisions like lighting colours, personalised gobo designs and the placement of speakers etc. From here we were able to put together a final quotation which was perfect for the event.
Three of our crew members arrived on the morning of the event to begin installation of the equipment.
For the main Fashion Show we installed a PA System to be used as background music (and later for speeches), Event Spots to provide wireless blue uplighting as well as Source Fours to project breakup gobos around the venue.
On the upper level we also installed an additional PA System for the entertainment to play through.
We used our L-Acoustics systems in both instances to fulfil the entertainment’s rider and also to ensure that the whole event sounded perfect.
As a finishing touch, we also provided bespoke Image Projection on the exterior of Belvoir Castle by placing one of our Source Fours profile lights with customised image in a waterproof dome.
During the evening one of our technicians stayed onsite to ensure that everything ran smoothly with both the lighting and the sound elements of the event.
After the event, Anne Davies emailed us some lovely feedback:
“Thank you so much for all you did for us for Fashanne 2016 – the first East Midlands Fashion Awards!
The Castle looks good anyway but the blue uplighters transformed it into a magical world that showed off the fashion brilliantly.
Once again Ben, thank you to you and your team. You were all so nice to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your services to anyone”
*Thank you to Rachael Connerton for the photos.
