Working with Benessamy Weddings, Premier provided a wide range of wedding décor for a recent wedding reception at Colwick Hall in Nottinghamshire. Having worked at Colwick Hall previously, as well as with the client on past events, we were happy to assist with providing the décor for this wedding reception.

The location for the wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and the evening reception was to be the lakeside pavilion at Colwick Hall.

For the wedding ceremony we installed 90 white polycotton chair covers with a purple satin sash. To add an additional element to the chair covers our team also installed a butterfly embellishment to each of the chair cover sashes which looked great. To ensure that the bride had a stunning aisle to walk up we laid a 10m x 1m white carpet ‘aisle runner’. This VIP carpet looked great and really added to the look and feel of the venue.

To add some colour and to continue the ‘purple’ theme in the lakeside pavilion at Colwick Hall we installed 24 of our 1m LED uplighters. With 255 shades of red, green and blue to choose from, our event team were able to ensure that when the sun set, the marquee had a warm purple glow on the perimeter walls.

To provide background music for the wedding breakfast as well as a hand held microphone for the speeches we installed a compact but powerful PA System. This 4 speaker L-Acoustics system provided an even spread of sound throughout the venue and was used to play a pre-selected Frank Sinatra playlist throughout the wedding breakfast.

Colwick Hall has a 28ft x 14ft black and white dance floor installed in the lakeside pavilion. Premier are one of only a handful of suppliers who are allowed to take up the venue’s dance floor and lay a dance floor that we supply in its place. We have large stocks of white starlit, black starlit, plain black, plain white and parquet dance floor which we can replace the venue’s dance floor with. For the evening reception we installed an 18ft x 16ft white starlight dance floor. The dance floor was positioned in front of the stage area in the venue.

As well as the dance floor we also installed four of our high powered moving head lighting fixtures, mounted on truss podiums to provide ‘disco lighting’ for the night. Our ‘nightclub lighting’ package is a great addition to any wedding venue and can be customised to suit your requirements and budget. With pre-programmed lighting sequences including slower patterns for the first dance as well as fast paced changes for the ‘disco’, it really does provide a turn-key solution.

To finish off the décor, Premier provided a sweet cart which was fully loaded with sweets and treats for guests to enjoy as part of the evening reception.
