Stubton Hall is a grand old country house built in the 19th century on the outskirts of Lincolnshire. It is situated in the beautiful countryside and is paired with some of the most stunning gardens in the area. It has 22 rooms for overnight stay which are decorated to compliment the character of the house yet in a way that is modern and contemporary.
The Music Room and The Orangery are both licensed for civil ceremonies, depending on how many guests you have attending one of these rooms is bound to be perfect.
When you hire Stubton Hall for your wedding day, the house is exclusively yours for the day (and night). In terms of planning, there are two wedding and event coordinators that are more than happy to be as involved as the bride and groom desire and this is where Premier Events UK can come in.
Before the big day Tristan and Christy came in for a chat with us to see what we could provide for their wedding in November. We discussed a wide variety of products and services that suited the clients style and the venue, we then produced an itemised quotation for the items discussed.
Christy and Tristan went with the following ideas / products.
Our event team laid an 18ft x 18ft White Starlit Dance Floor in The Orangery which is slightly larger than we usually lay in that room but clearly Tristan and Christy knew that their guests were big dancers!
In terms of lighting we placed 6 Showtec LED Light Bars alongside 11 Showtec Compact PAR’s around The Orangery. They chose pink uplighting to match the colour scheme and add warmth to the large room. The uplighters were placed between the windows in order to give the walls a flash of colour.
For extra lighting at the evening reception and to create a nightclub effect we used 4x Elation Platinum Spot 5R PRO‘s in The Orangery. This provided the reception with more of a party feel as these lights cut through the air creating a nightclub feel to the venue. These we combined with truss podiums and covers for a tidier finish.
Tristan and Christy decided on personalised Image Projection to add to their bespoke-made wedding day. The initial plan before the big day was to project the image onto the wall, however after moving it around the morning of the wedding, it was decided it would be quite striking to have the image projected on the floor of the entrance where the bride and groom would walk over it into The Orangery.
The image projection lighting unit was paired with truss and white covers along with an uplight underneath the cover to add colour to the structure. This allowed it to blend in with the décor instead of a basic stand and tripod producing a neater appearance.
Tristan and Christy also hired the ever so popular White Post Box, they are made from authentic stock cast iron, and gave Tristan and Christy the pleasure of knowing there wedding cards were secure under lock and key in the most stylish way possible. The message was personalised on the front with both Christy and Tristan’s names, their wedding date and venue choice, and a little message from the couple to the guests to say thank you for sharing their special day with them.
Tristan and Christy unbearably lost their wonderful little girl some time ago, and used a pink helium balloon attached to one of the chairs on the top table to symbolise her presence. This was something that the Premier team put together on the morning of wedding. It was a beautiful representation and the perfect personal touch to their special day complete.
A small L’Acoustics PA Package was used for many different aspects of the day. Firstly a PA package was used to help give the speeches at the wedding breakfast. The Orangery is a large hall and the PA Package ensured that no one missed a word of one of the most important components of the wedding. It also provided a low volume background music that was played whilst the guests ate, and it was simply playing off an ipad.
For the evening reception Christy and Tristan had booked a DJ that they met in Ibiza. Premier provided her with a Pioneer CDJ playout system as well as a suitable sized L’Acoustics PA system.
In one of the pictures above also you will see our DJ Booth starcloth, it just gives that finishing touch to the DJ Booth as they can look quite boring with a lot of cables and buttons etc, so instead of that we added a sparkle!
Premier UK Events also provided Tristan and Christy with On the Day Coordination, this allowed them to completely enjoy their day without a worry (that’s what we did instead)! So Claire and Cait were the point of contact on the day for any last minute questions or worries, it also allowed the Bridge and Groom to get suited and booted whilst the girls cracked on with the morning preparations and final touches. Some of their preparations included lighting the candles for the table decorations, blowing up balloons, and meeting and greeting people such as the musician and band members and the magician. Claire and Cait managed all the timings for the day, who was supposed to be where at what time, they managed the room turn around so that everything was in the correct place such as the dance floor and image projection. Claire and Cait stayed right up until the first dance at which we left Tristan and Christy to enjoy the rest of their wedding day and the Premier team returned the following morning to derig.

From the start we really appreciated all your help, contacts and organisation but it was especially noticeable towards the end with your help the day before with last minute problems which you seemed to resolve effortlessly!
The venue looked stunning, our guests absolutely loved the whole day as did we, it couldn’t have gone any better or been and more special, so thanks for all your hard work and effort and making the day run so smoothly, we really appreciate it.
We intend to send out some nice thank you cards soon but need to deal with the aftermath first and get a nice photo to get printed up, so you will hear form us again soon just to say thanks!
