Canteen Awards Ceremony

Premier transformed a staff canteen into a space suitable for an awards ceremony

For this awards ceremony, which took place in the canteen of a blue chip companies workplace, we were tasked with helping to transform the room for the staff awards ceremony.

As guests made their way to the canteen they were able to walk down a VIP red carpet which we secured to the floor using industry standard NEC tape to avoid it being a trip hazard. We used a 10m x 1m and a 23m x 1m to create a seamless run down the long corridor.

Our event crew installed a 3m x 2m stage for the awards to take place on inside the canteen, as well a Trilite lectern for the presenters.

For lighting we installed 2 moving heads on 1.5m Prolyte H30V truss podiums, which we programmed uniquely for the venue using an Avolites Pearl lighting desk.

The results look amazing, especially considering that on the morning of the event it was a canteen and by midday it was completely transformed!

We programmed the lighting so that as an award was announced the moving heads panned round the room and then set themselves back onto the ceiling in an ‘Xfactor style’ as briefed by the client.
