Premier were to provide equipment for both the wedding breakfast and evening reception.
To assist with the speeches and to provide background music for the wedding breakfast we installed a PA system consisting of four L-Acoustic 8XT speakers. A single hand held and wireless Sennheiser EW300 G3 microphone was installed. The microphone was used by both the Master of Ceremonies on the day as well as members of the bridal party for the all-important speeches.
As you would expect from a company named Premier, our event crew ensured that all cables were secured to the floor as well as neatly secured to any speaker stands. The tidiness of cables can make all of the difference at a wedding reception, our event crew always take this into consideration when deciding upon the location of equipment.
The Old Kitchen was to be the location for the evening entertainment and we were heavily involved with the AV in this area. As the DJ for the evening was flying in from Russia we installed all of the equipment that they required. The equipment included a starcloth DJ booth as well as the latest Pioneer CDJ 2000NSX2 CD players and DJM 900 NXS2 mixer.
An L-Acoustic speaker system was installed for the DJ to use, this included 2x SB18 subwoofers and 2x 12XT speakers. This system was powered by an LA8 amplifier and provided a superb sound quality throughout the Old Kitchen.
Lighting for the DJ and ‘disco’ element of the evening was provided with four of our versatile Elation Platinum Spot 5R moving heads. The moving heads were positioned on top of 2m truss podiums which we placed in each corner of the venue. To allow them to look visually appealing we installed an LED par can at the base of each podium as well as covered them using a lycra sock.
Our lighting engineer spent the afternoon programming a bespoke lighting show for the venue using an Avolites Quartz lighting desk. The lighting show included slow movements for the first dance as well as a faster paced light show for when the DJ was playing.
Our event team installed all of the equipment on the morning of the event and collected it at midnight when it had finished. Our lighting engineer stayed on site throughout to ensure that our client had a point of contact at all times and to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
