Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 Packages

The URSA Broadcast G2 is an incredibly powerful and flexible camera system built on the compact, yet solid URSA body. Utilising a 6K Super 35 sensor (also found in the Pocket 6K) this is Blackmagic’s first true multi-purpose offering. Whether you’re looking for long, vibrant IMAG; softened cine; or sharp studio looks with huge depth of field the G2 has you covered.

The bodies feature a high quality fold-out touchscreen with monochrome, backlit info display on the reverse. Many of the commonly used controls are available on physical buttons or switches, and ND filters are built in. We hold both eyepiece and studio viewfinders depending on the application. There’s a wealth of mounting points for complex rigs.

Powered by Blackmagic OS, there is a huge amount of codec; framerate; resolution and cropping choices. There’s an internal timecode generator or the unit can be locked externally. 12G SDI in and out complete the video connections on the body. There’s an internal mic for scratch audio records and 2 XLR inputs for external mics. It’s even possible to control certain functions via a smartphone/tablet application over bluetooth.

Power output is available on the battery plate; at the front of the body and on the fibre converter.

Supplied fitted with a B4 mount as standard, coupled to a Fujinon LA16x8BRM 4K lens; servo zoom and manual focus demands. Alternative lenses are available on request.

For remote camera control (RCP) and camera comms, a suitable ATEM switcher with at least one available auxiliary output is required. The cameras can then be racked via the software, or optionally by the Blackmagic Camera Control Panel.
