What is a Magic Mirror?

A magic selfie mirror is the latest photo booth concept. It is in the style of a large touch screen mirror, where you can see the photo you are creating in the reflection of the mirror. It produces a selection of photos, which are printed for you to take home and keep.

How much does it cost to hire a Magic Mirror?

Prices start from £495+VAT to hire a Magic Mirror for 2-4 hours. Props are provided with the hire and other accessories such as backdrops can be added to the booking. A popular choice at the moment is the beautiful shimmer wall.

How long is Magic Mirror hire for?

Magic Mirror hire is usually between 2 and 4 hours but we can always work with you to provide hire for a longer duration or over several days for a conference or exhibition event.

How does the Magic Mirror work?

The Magic Mirror is set up before the event using a background of your choice and then during the event people take photos, usually in groups, to keep as a memento of the event. These are especially popular at events such as private parties and Christmas parties but they are also used for corporate events, as well as exhibitions and pop up shops for brand awareness.

Is the Magic Mirror touchscreen?

The Magic Mirror works entirely from touchscreen technology making it really simple to use. You can event sign off your pictures with a signature or message. Perfect for private parties where the host can choose to have an album created of all the photos taken at the event.

Does the Magic Mirror print out pictures?

Yes, just as you do with a traditional photo booth, you can have 1 or 4 photos on one printout. With a Magic Mirror, you can choose the number of copies you receive and there is also the option to have an album of all of the prints.

What is the difference between a Magic Mirror and a traditional photo booth?

A Magic Mirror is the modern equivalent of a photobooth but the screen is a lot larger, it’s touch screen and there are lots of other options around technology and augmented reality (AR)

Being touch screen, the Magic Mirror allows you to add stamps and your signature to an image. You can also add a message to your pictures.

Can the Magic Mirror work well with any other products in the engagement range?

A Magic Mirror can work well alongside the hire of our iPad selfie mirrors as the Magic Mirror can provide fun pictures of people with props and then the iPad mirror can provide more pictures of people around your event as they are portable. This allows you to get more corporate images with different backdrops and with different groups of people whilst enjoying themselves.

The Magic Mirror and selfie iPads are also great to hire alongside a Photo Mosaic Wall as the images from both of these devices can be used to create the pictures for the mosaic.

Can the Magic Mirror be used for Brand Activation?

Yes, the Magic Mirror is the perfect solution for brand activation and encouraging people to share photos that include your brand and new product line. They are often used at exhibitions and in shopping centres/stores when a company is promoting a new product as the photos can have the brand featured in the frame and also on the backdrop. A green screen solution also allows you to have anything in the background.

A digital copy of the photo is also sent to the guest’s phone and is very often shared on social media. Many of the brands using this for brand awareness then set a competition where, if you share the photo using a chosen hashtag, you are entered into a prize draw.

Can the magic mirror be used for data capture?

Providing you get consent from the users (this can be done via a tick box option within the instructions on the mirror) you can then use the email address and phone number for marketing purposes following your event.
